Cookie Policy

Last updated: 26 June 2026

This policy explains how HomeTradeQuote (a trading style of Prospect Connect Media Ltd) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, and help us understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, which we treat the same way as cookies for the purpose of this policy.

The categories we use

Essential. These are needed for the site and the quote tool to work, for example remembering your cookie choice and keeping the service secure. They cannot be switched off. We do not need your consent for these, but we tell you about them here for transparency.

Analytics. With your consent, these help us understand how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it, for example which pages are viewed and where people drop off in the quote tool. We only set these if you turn Analytics on.

Marketing. With your consent, these help us measure and improve our advertising, for example so we can tell whether an ad led to a completed quote. They are off by default and we only set them if you turn Marketing on.

What we set today

At present HomeTradeQuote sets only essential cookies. The Analytics and Marketing options exist so that, if and when we add those tools, nothing runs without your prior consent. Your saved choice controls whether any such cookie is ever set.

Managing your choices

When you first visit, we ask for your preferences. You can change them at any time using , which re-opens the preferences panel. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some essential features may not work if you block everything.

Consent and your rights

For non-essential cookies we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. For more on how we handle your data and the rights you have under UK GDPR, see our Privacy Policy. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time. For any question about cookies, contact us at privacy@hometradequote.co.uk.
